You have been nominated for the "Artist Spotlight" on CBS NewsChannel 5 in Cheyenne. We are choosing one local artist each weekend to show off their talent. If you are interested in doing a piece with us email me some Saturdays that would work for you and we will set up a time. Thanks so much and I look forward to working with you.

Hello, Rylee

I would be honored to be featured in the "Artist Spotlight" on CBS NewsChannel 5. I would like to know a little more what this entails, what would you need from me, how much time, and when would you like to do this. I think maybe the 27th Nov and Dec 9th are open, but because its the holidays things are hectic. In the meantime, please check out my webpage...

…I have you on the schedule for this Saturday! Sorry things have gotten pretty crazy around the station. Since today is Thanksgiving and I'm sure you would rather not be bothered by calls from news people :) , I will give you a call tomorrow and we can discuss further. I would love to interview you at around 2 either somewhere you work on your art or somewhere that showcases your art. Let me know if this still works and I'll call you tomorrow!

Hello Mike somehow I was forwarded your email. I am in Laramie , but I am involved in the arts regionally. I did some research for you and found three local Mexican/American or Hispanic folkloric dance groups in Cheyenne .

Flores de Colores Dance Troupe of Cheyenne is a Wyoming Arts Council roster artistic group... for more you can email council members Michael Shay or Linda Coatney at the Wyoming Arts Council. Sorry I can't find a contact and website seems to be down.

Grupo Folclorico Colonias de Jalisco is a Mexican Ballet Folklorico dance group located in
Cheyenne , Wyoming . In November 2006, we became the first Mexican folkloric dance group in the Cheyenne Family YMCA’s dance program. http://coloniasdejalisco.com/  Cheyenne Family YMCA (307) 634-9622

Las Angelitas Unidas. Contact Nicole Cordova, Mexican folkloric dancer in Cheyenne . Sorry I can't find a contact email.

Re: Hispanic Dance Groups

Thanks Terry, I guess I hit the wrong address because I was trying to send it to Ann **.

Thanks though,

    1. The woman that emailed me through you, from Elmira , NY is going to have 11 of my Screaming Purses in a show at a YWCA in Elmira in October 2010.  I'm nearly ready to send them off.  She was involved in the 2 shows I had in Ithaca, NY about 8 years ago. She must have just googled my name to find me.
    1. Wed, November 3, 2010 3:35:15 PM --Thanks Terry, …  I had the show in Elmira , NY as a result of her getting a hold of me through the site.  No purses sold, but that's not the only mission.  Thanks, Gail

Hi Gail (Shive)

I saw your work on the www while i was looking at images of 'screaming'. I think your work is brilliant.

I am an artist and I'm working on a series of screaming images currently after earlier this year spending 10 weeks in hospital fighting for my life. A good deal of that time I was either terrified or very anxious. I felt like screaming but had no energy to do anything.

I just had to contact you to say I love your work

Kind regards

Maureen

Hello Jon (Madsen),
I was at the small art museum in
Estes Park yesterday, and saw your pieces in the juried show.  My friend and I were most enthralled by the winter scene, and out of all the wonderful pieces in the show, thought this was the finest.  The scene has a way of drawing the viewer in, and conveying so much that the imagination completes while the image is not entirely detailed.  This is art in its most enjoyable form, in my opinion, and I just wanted to let you know how your painting made our day... in hopes of returning the favor.

Best regards,
Donna

These[PICS]are absolutely amazing! Thank you so much.

I have sent these over to Todd and the boys. We all think #1191 is right for the paper, but I see potential for the others.

Can’t wait to see the rest. ...

Jon Madsen - It's wonderful to see {Jon's} works in Northern Front. I've long enjoyed {his} art in various establishments around town. Particularly enjoy {his} simple house and neighborhood scenes. I look forward to seeing more...What you're doing with NF is great for the Laramie cultural scene, and for the artists and photographers associated with it.

Please keep me informed about future exhibits.

From: Ken Sullivan <ken@wnc.edu>
To: Terry Reid <info@northernfront.net

Hi Terry,
Thanks for the info on the print. ...I bought a copy of that print in 2001 on a trip that took me through Wyoming. I made a stop in Laramie and while in the bathroom of a coffee shop downtown saw a copy of the print hanging above the toilet with a sign that said something like "if you like this, it's available for $25, inquire at the front counter". So I bought one, had it framed and have it in my office here at work. One of my employees is always threatening to steal it so I looked at the artists name, did a search for Ronda and your website popped up as the top hit.

I want to buy my employee a print before he steals mine some night.
Your website is nice. I like that you can click on an image and get a larger view.

Thanks,
Ken Sullivan, Director, Library & Instructional Technology, Western Nevada College
