Artist's Statement In order for the human race to evolve in consciousness, the intellect with its judgments based upon past experiences and sensations must be engaged and transcended. When this is done, the actual positive energy of the universe can impact the consciousness and  thus bring enlightened. My paintings are created with the sole intent of  engaging and transcending the intellect with its varied sensations. In this way, the work becomes a "touch point" to higher universal energy and a support to the continued evolution of the human consciousness.

Fire Goddess.jpg (53238 bytes)I often work with several subjects in a variety of directions. Differing motives and intents are utilized for each of these directions.

In addition, several types of media are utilized to create various works. In the group of reproductions I am displaying are mainly colored pencil and some charcoal, but also acrylics. Color is primarily the verifying element in these works, as it tends to bind together various elements that without it would not necessarily go together.

My intentions were to begin to create a type of mythology by combining the human figure with both traditional mythological symbols and a few of my own creations. I have also incorporated some of my interests in geometry in the backgrounds of several of these pieces.
